The Story
-
Inspiration
The work draws its inspiration from the human condition of exhaustion under the weight of life’s pressures and circumstances, while maintaining hope that tomorrow can bring change and relief. Its emotional premise is built around the contrast between fatigue and hardship on one side, and perseverance, acceptance, and hope for a better tomorrow on the other.
-
Creative Vision
The creative vision was to create a human and dramatic opening theme that distills the emotional and social atmosphere of the series into a direct and sincere song. The music supports the lyrical narrative and Mohamed Mounir’s vocal performance, allowing the song to function both as an integral part of the series and as an independent human experience.

Development
The story of “Te3b” began well before the series “Had Aksa” came into existence. At an earlier stage, Mohamed Mounir had asked composer Ahmed Hamdy Raouf to develop a number of songs for an upcoming musical project. Raouf worked on several songs for the project, although a number of them were ultimately not released. About a year later, Ahmed Hamdy Raouf came across lyrics by poet Ahmed Shabaka and was particularly struck by the line “W Khat El Omr Byndel” (“and the line of life keeps changing”). He recognized in the phrase the core of a strong human and dramatic song. The two began developing the lyrics together, making a number of minor adjustments before the composition was completed in its final form. Raouf then developed an initial musical treatment and arrangement and presented the song to Mohamed Mounir. Mounir heard the song approximately a year and a half before the emergence of “Had Aksa” and expressed strong enthusiasm for it and a desire to record it. He specifically asked Ahmed Hamdy Raouf to arrange the song himself, explaining that he considered Raouf the person who understood and felt the song most deeply, despite knowing that Raouf primarily viewed himself as a composer rather than an arranger. The arrangement was subsequently developed and the song entered the recording stage, including Mohamed Mounir’s vocal recording. At that point, the song was intended to be part of Mounir’s upcoming musical project, before its journey took an unexpected turn. As production and filming preparations for “Had Aksa” began, the song attracted the attention of the project’s team. Actor and Actors’ Syndicate president Ashraf Zaki, in coordination with the production side and Mohamed Mounir, recognized that the song was particularly well suited to the dramatic world of the series and could serve as its opening theme. The song therefore moved from its original context as part of a musical project into a new role as the opening theme of a Ramadan television drama. This transition also required a new musical treatment. Ahmed Hamdy Raouf revisited the arrangement and made several changes and refinements so that the song could function effectively as an opening theme, matching the dramatic character of the series and the fast-paced demands of the Ramadan television season. The final version was completed and “Te3b” became the official opening theme of “Had Aksa,” performed by Mohamed Mounir, with lyrics by Ahmed Shabaka and composition and arrangement by Ahmed Hamdy Raouf. The song was announced as the series’ opening theme on February 17, 2026, ahead of the Ramadan launch, and appeared with the series’ premiere on February 18. In this way, “Te3b” followed an unusual creative journey: it began as a song born from a collaboration between a poet and a composer, was embraced by Mohamed Mounir for his musical project, and was later rediscovered by the drama production and transformed into the opening theme of a Ramadan television series.
-
Challenges
The main creative challenge was to balance the song’s heavy dramatic character with an underlying sense of hope and perseverance, while creating a musical treatment that serves an opening television theme and gives Mohamed Mounir’s voice the appropriate space to express the emotional depth of the lyrics.
-
Outcome
The song was completed and released as the official opening theme of the television series “Had Aksa,” performed by Mohamed Mounir and released by Rotana on February 18, 2026. It combines a socially and dramatically driven lyrical narrative with the musical composition and arrangement by Ahmed Hamdy Raouf, establishing a clear emotional and sonic identity for the series.
